House Lights collects nothing about you. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Kedos Consulting Limited, which publishes the app, never receives what you watch, your server's address or your sign-in details.
What the app keeps, and where
- Server addresses, user names and access tokens are kept on your device, in the Keychain. If you turn on Remember Password, the password is kept there too.
- Settings, such as appearance, streaming quality and autoplay, are kept on your device.
- Downloads (iPhone and iPad), and a record of what you watched while offline, are kept on your device. The record is sent to your server when it can next be reached, then cleared.
- Top Shelf (Apple TV): a short list of your Continue Watching and Next Up is shared with the app's Top Shelf extension on the same device, so it can show them above the app's icon.
- Cloudflare Access tokens, if your server is behind Cloudflare Access, are kept on your device.
Deleting the app deletes all of this. Remove from This Device in Settings deletes one saved user and their downloads.
Who the app talks to
- Your Jellyfin servers, at the addresses you enter. Like every Jellyfin app, it tells your server what you play, how far you get, and your device's name. Whoever runs the server can see this in Jellyfin's dashboard.
- Cloudflare, only if your server is behind Cloudflare Access, to finish a sign-in you start.
- Apple, when you buy something in the app. Purchases go through the App Store; Kedos never sees your payment details. If you've chosen to share analytics with developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass on crash reports that don't identify you.
This website
This site uses no cookies and no analytics, and loads nothing from other companies. It's served by Cloudflare, which handles visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Because Kedos holds no personal data from the app, there's nothing for us to give you a copy of or delete. Everything the app keeps is on your device and your server, both of which you control.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. To ask about it, email chris.kellet@kedos.co.uk. The data controller is Kedos Consulting Limited, United Kingdom.
